A Typical Move.

This video starts as our removal staff arrive at our purpose built storage warehouse at the start at another happy moving day! It follows them step by step as they set off to make someones move as strightforward and hassle-free as possible. Here are the usual steps they take:

1) They inspect there alloted removals pantechnicon or van, to ensure they have enough protective blankets and other kit, such as hanging wardobes, spare blankets, export wrapping materials (to protect your special pieces). The driver also checks the vehicle for defects.

2) Job sheets are picked up and one of the directors or our secretary dicusses any special features of the clients removal or storage needs mentioned in them. For example, we often wrap certain special items of furniture insitu in the clients house before they are carried out to the removals vehicle. This

Company Overview: About us.

Established in 1990, A Smooth Move still hold to the basic company standards that they started with. These are that we will treat clients and there belongings in the way we would want our own valued personal belongings to be treated. We bring a good dollop of commonsense to the process, being very attentive to important aspects of the move and cracking on with suitable haste with the more straightforward items.

Initially the company had a 3.5 ton dormobile conversion which we called smoothy. This was a unlikely removals vehicle, but it did the job well and gave about 8 years of great service, finally succumbing to override fatigue.(a weakness on the ford van it was based on). A failed attempt to save it with a different gearbox finally did for it!

We already had a 7.5 ton pantechnicon at this time. This ex-bed company vehicle was named Rebos and allowed us to do bigger removals than in the van.
